New Building for SHARE
For Immediate Release - September 30, 2004 Coquitlam, British Columbia - SHARE Family & Community Services is pleased to announce that, in partnership with Wesbild Holdings Limited, it will soon be opening a new location in Port Moody.
Wesbild, a local real estate development company, has purchased a building, located at 2615 Clarke Street, to help SHARE expand its much needed services to even more Tri-City residents. The building, which will be extensively renovated by Wesbild for SHARE, will house a number of programs and services including space for sorting, packing, distribution and storage for SHARE's three food bank depots, operation of the Port Moody food bank depot, counselling services and a Family Resource Centre.
"This new space and the financial support from Wesbild will help us increase family support and early childhood development initiatives.", says Joanne Granek, Executive Director for SHARE, "We are very excited to have a new home for our food bank operation. The volunteers and staff have been working in very compromised space for too long! We are also so pleased to be embarking on this new partnership with Wesbild."
"We really believe in SHARE," says Randy Zien, President of Wesbild. "As an organization who's people live and work in the Tri-Cities, we are thrilled to be able to give back through SHARE to local children, families and the entire Tri-City community."
Construction on the building is expected to commence this fall with completion and occupancy targeted for Spring 2005.
